IN THE BORKS! DRIUER EARNED NEW RESPECT CROSSING RIVERS LOOKING FOR GOOD BASE CAMP (BC) SITE W OF PREVIOUS TEAMS’ CAMPS.

DROVE TILL 11PM DESPITE OVERHEAT ISSUE WITH TRUCK. CAMPED IN MTN HOPE TO MAKE BASE TOMORROW. SHEEP PEED & POOD IN TRUCK!

DROVE E RND LAKE ISIK KUL SAW HIGH PLATEAU ATE FERMENTED MILK & KYRGYZ HONEY! IN KARAKOL TONITE, BARSKAUN OR KARASAI TOMMOROW.

All the members of the expedition have arrived to Almaty, and Adilet’s
family has been very generous feeding and petting us.
WE did grocery shopping and wandered around the city.
When we were going back to Adilet’s house, one gypsy cab got lost and
after a panic call to Us embassy we made it by foot.
One of the duffels is still in Amsterdam, and we are leaving tomorrow
morning, as long as it arrives on time tomorrow.
Tested satellite phone and it works, so we will be able to update
the website later.
